Gerard is the writer and director of the local comedy The Jaquie Brown Diaries. Over two series the programme was dubbed the best local TV show by The Listener, Metro Magazine, the Sunday Star Times and the Herald and won a Qantas Film and TV Award for best comedy,. He's also a two time national winner of the 48 hour film competition. Gerard was the creative director for C4 music television from 2003-2005 (The golden years). Before that he worked in a meat factory.
